News: 'Revisiting Rococo' During Lockdown 2020

This piece was a bespoke commission, to create an artwork inspired by The Oyster Dinner by Jean-François de Troy from the 1730s. Originally commissioned by Louis XV to decorate dining rooms in the Palace of Versailles, the painting includes nineteen figures eating oysters and drinking champagne and was the main artwork I made during the summer lockdown in 2020.
